Wellness Hour Alert! Are you looking for a way to unwind after a long day at work? Have you been looking for ways to get outside and get active? Are you ready to learn or enhance your pickleball skills?
We invite you to join us on Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at 6:00pm as we meet up at the San Jose Country Club for a fun and exciting time of pickleball with Judge Michelle Kalil and Special Guest Karin Ptaszek-Kochis. Take a look at Ms. Ptaszek-Kochis' bio provided below. They are very skilled and accomplished, and we are so lucky to have them teaching us this fun new or enhanced skill. There is a limit to how many people can attend, so please be sure you can make it if you sign up.

What is pickleball? Pickleball is a racket or paddle sport in which two or four players hit a perforated, hollow plastic ball with paddles over a 34-inch-high net until one side is unable to return the ball or commits an infraction.
How much will this event cost? No cost to JWLA members.
What do you need to wear? Comfortable athletic wear.
What do you need to bring? A smile and fun spirit.

"I'm excited to teach a 2nd Pickleball Clinic to our local judges and lawyers in Jacksonville! As a former Top 300 Tennis Player, pickleball has come rather easily to me in a short period of time. I only started a bit more than a year ago. Everyone can have fun with this easy to pick up game and yet improve if they want. I currently play on the Senior Pro Tour, which is for players 50 and Over. My best singles result was winning the Senior Pro Singles Event at the APP NYC event taking place at the US Open Site! More recently I took Silver in the APP Atlanta event playing right next to the "Real" Pro Players you see on TV when aired. I'm currently ranked #1 in Senior Pro Singles on the DUPR Rankings."
