Decide to Break Barriers

For the third luncheon in our year of Decisions that Define Us, we are pleased to join the Jacksonville Bar Association in welcoming Florida Bar President Sia Baker-Barnes! This joint luncheon will highlight leadership beyond barriers. President Baker-Barnes will speak about her two initiatives: the Corporate Counsel Committee, designed to include in-house lawyers across multiple industries, as well as the Sustainability Committee to address the growing strain of burnout, isolation, and exhaustion in the profession.

Decide to Support the Community that Defines Us

This  year, JWLA is continuing its efforts of outreach and giving back to the local community. For each luncheon, we will spotlight a local charity or other nonprofit organization and will conduct a donation drive, to be collected at that month's luncheon. This luncheon we are spotlighting the Giving Closet Project a local charity committed to making a meaningful impact in the lives of students and children navigating adversity. We are collecting clothing for men, women, and children. Giving Closet has asked our joint membership to focus on undergarments of all sizes (boys, girls, women, and men). They are currently completely out of men and boys sizes. As for toiletries they need:
